Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us and setting guidelines for us that are to mirror how Jesus talked and acted here on earth. Jesus reigns over all the earth and He also reigns in my heart! What an awesome blessing this truth brings to me today. As I consider that it is not by my might, nor by my power, but by the Spirit of the Lord of Hosts that my personal mountains are removed. Jesus, I know that most of the mountains that block my path are not moved by a simple prayer of faith, but these mountains are often the very essence of how You work through my life to reveal Your faithfulness and Your power in the midst of my struggles. You develop godly character as I am challenged to remain steadfast and faithful in my Christian walk. You make my feet like hind’s feet that enable me to walk upon high places. Help me to keep my gaze continually upward during the climb so that I see You reigning on Your throne as I bring You glory and honor. In Your precious name I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, Your steadfast love never ceases and Your mercies are renewed daily. You deliver, heal, restore, and sustain us. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning. In Your compassion You delivered the Israelites time after time and You do the same for us. We’ve grown to expect it and therefore we often take for granted Your kind provisions, Your delivering power and Your sustaining grace that guides us through each step of our journey. We can walk in confidence because we walk in step with Your Spirit, for Your Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. We need not fear the future but trust You for everything we have need of. It is in Christ’s name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, help me to determine in my heart that when Jesus words, “Follow Me” will far surpass the importance of any other mission I am called to in my life time. I pray that my goals, achievements, and ambitions do not conflict with the major calling but further establish for me a firm foundation where my faith will grow and where I bring glory to Your name, both in life and in death. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I want to place significance in the things that Your Word declares are of great worth, that which holds eternal value. When I’m inundated by the persuasive advertisements that tell me I’ll find greater happiness after the purchase I need the Spirit’s prompting. Remind me that material accumulations last only for a season, but spiritual gifts endure forever. Help me to find contentment in You because You are of great worth. The treasure of a vibrant relationship with You brings much greater joy and fulfillment than any of the temporary treasures of this world. So I ask You to help me to find proper placement with the material goods needed for my earthly journey and the treasures I should seek that have eternal significance. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as we live by faith and not by sight we see much of what the world does not see because we see it through eyes of faith. By faith we see a risen Savior who died for us and who is now interceding on our behalf. By faith we see the coronation day when all the saints will be gathered in the clouds to meet Jesus in the air. By faith we believe that life’s trials will be worth it all when we are ushered through the pearly gates, when we gather with the saints of all the ages to praise our glorious Savior around the throne. It is by faith that we come to Jesus and it is by faith that we will stay the course. For it is not the one who runs the swiftest nor the one who runs for a day, but the one who endures to the end who will be saved. The struggles of this life diminish and will not overwhelm us when we walk by faith and not by sight. Navigate our steps as we journey here below. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, I lay my sins on Jesus, the spotless Lamb of God. I’m so thankful for Jesus who bears them all and frees me from the accuser’s condemnation. I confess my sins to You, both big and small, so that my crimson stains are washed white in the blood of the sinless Lamb of God and not a stain remains. Thank You for being the Sinbearer that redeems me from the slimy pit of mud and mire. You are the Solid Rock on which I firmly stand. Upon my confession, You are faithful and just to forgive me of my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. You put a new song in my heart and a hymn of praise and thanksgiving on my lips. It’s through Jesus’ wonderful name that we can pray to You, Father. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for watching over me and protecting and directing me on the right path. I also thank You for the family and friends you have brought int my life who refresh me; their loyalty and understanding shown to me over the years have brought tremendous blessing and many pleasant memories. Sometimes You use them not only to bring encouragement but they also challenge me to grow in areas where I might otherwise be stagnant. When it comes to friends Jesus stands out above them all, for He is a companion that is with me every moment of every day unceasingly revealing to me His loyalty, His favor and His tender care when I least deserve it. His friendship shows me how to be a true, lasting, and loyal friend to others. And it’s in His name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as I teach others about You and even in choices that I have to make each day, I am constantly reminded of what the book of James says. James 1:5-9 GW If any of you needs wisdom to know what you should do, you should ask God, and he will give it to you. God is generous to everyone and doesn't find fault with them. 6 When you ask for something, don't have any doubts. A person who has doubts is like a wave that is blown by the wind and tossed by the sea. 7 A person who has doubts shouldn't expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 A person who has doubts is thinking about two different things at the same time and can't make up his mind about anything. 9 Humble believers should be proud because being humble makes them important. Lord, So much wisdom is attained by carefully reading, studying, and applying the Scripture. Additional wisdom is granted through the experiences we go through in life and also observing others, their response to critical situations along with their life choices and the results that follow. There are many things we observe and learn as we go through life’s journey. Help us to hold on to that which will profit us, that which will benefit or broaden our understanding. Enable us to reject and dispense of that which is in direct contrast to Your Holy Word so that we are not led astray or misguided by teachings the world deems to be knowledgeable or wise. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are the God of all wisdom and we ask You for a discerning heart so that we walk circumspectly in Your way and effectively lead the people entrusted to our care. We need Your wisdom to distinguish between right and wrong, truth and error. So many live by opinion polls, current trends, and that which makes them acceptable to the world. But as we pray in the spirit and absorb Your Word into our hearts we will want to walk uprightly and do justly. It is a natural outflow of Your wisdom and Spirit that abides within us as we choose to walk in Your ways. Be our vision during the light of day and in the darkness of night; whether waking or sleeping we yield our all to You, Omniscient Father. In the name of Jesus we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, we rejoice in the fact that Jesus rose from the grave. Many saw Jesus hang on the cross. Many heard the words, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. Many times we can read where people talked to Him after He was put in a borrowed tomb. We serve a risen Savior who is in the world today, who dwells within our hearts, and who reconciles us to You, our Father in heaven. What a joyous and triumphant day we celebrate at Easter and everyday as we acknowledge our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who died, was buried, and who rose again. Help us Lord. In the middle of our trials and hardships. Stir our hearts with your Spirit to remember your promises, your faithfulness, and your triumph over Satan and death through Jesus. Give us the peace of Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen. |
