Heavenly Father, broaden my faith and increase my understanding as You lead me from day to day. In the midst of Mary and Joseph simply obeying the laws of their government You had a supernatural event unfold in their lives that would completely change history and completely change my life many centuries later. Help me in the ordinary events of my life to respond with the submissive heart that Mary had. I declare that I am Your servant and I recognize that You can do anything, for all things are possible to those who believe. Accomplish Your will in my life, I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Heavenly Father, how marvelous that an announcement made by an angel some 2000 years ago would bring great joy to the lowly shepherds and the people of that generation, but it continues to resound even to our generation and those that will follow. Your coming to earth brings great joy and provides eternal hope to all who believe on You. Today even though the news sources are filled with evil reports, I will not walk under the cloud of bad news but I will soar above the clouds because my steps are ordered by You, rather than the news of the day. You are my strength, my hope and my deep, abiding joy! Therefore I will praise You all the day long and rest in You during the night hour! Thank You Yeshua and in Your name I pray. Amen Heavenly Father, we are warmed by the words of the prophecy delivered to Zachariah concerning the future birth of his only son, John, “He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord”. When we read through the powerful messages John the Baptist preached in the Desert of Judea, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near” we’re reminded of the voice of the prophet Isaiah who described him as “A voice of one calling in the desert, Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.” Jesus followed in John’s footsteps after he was thrown into prison and also preached, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” And now we who follow Christ share the same message with others, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” It is the evergreen message for all believers to convey to the unsaved. Help us to lovingly and courageously share this message of salvation that leads to eternal hope. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, just like the pre-born baby, John, who leaped for joy upon hearing the voice of our Lord’s mother, may we too experience unbounding joy as we read the Scriptures since they reveal the fulfillment of promises made to her and to all the world that she would be with child and bear a son, and she would call His name Emmanuel, which means God with us. Just as Mary was blessed because she believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her, we too are blessed in our daily lives as we trust You for the fulfillment of all Your promises, including the promise that our Messiah will return to earth and gather up the faithful to transport us to our future eternal home in heaven. It’s the greatest joy of the season and for every day of our earthly dwelling. Thank You, Father, for making it possible through Jesus, Your Son. Amen. Heavenly Father, the major purpose for sending Jesus to earth, according to the messenger from heaven, was “because He will save His people from their sins”. Our greatest need was met through Jesus. In addition we see His miraculous power unleashed as He healed the sick, raised the dead, and drove out demons from those possessed. He modeled holiness, purity, self-control and showed us how to love those who are unlovely, care for those who are weak and how to turn the other cheek when attacked unfairly. Above all He showed us how to put other’s needs before our own when He responded in prayer to You in the garden of Gethsemane, “If it be possible, take this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will but Thine be done.” Jesus laid down His physical life that we might have a redeemed life now and forevermore. Thank You for sending Jesus, and thank You, Jesus, that You came. In You name we pray and shout Hallelujah! Heavenly Father, the wonder of Your love is that You sent Your beloved Son, Jesus, the Holy Child of Bethlehem, in answer to our need for salvation. And in answer to our prayer You cast out our sin and entered in to be born in us, making all things new in our spiritual transformation. Because we come to You through Christ we are saved completely to the uttermost: perfectly, finally, for all time and for all eternity. All we have need of You provide through Christ Jesus our Lord. And we are forever grateful! Amen. Heavenly Father, You are exalted over all the nations and Your glory fills the heavens. You are great and greatly to be praised. There is no other One who sits enthroned in the heavens and yet whose Spirit hears the very sigh of my heart. You hear my prayer before it is even whispered on my lips. You know my need even before I am aware of it and yet Your greatness never keeps me at a distance. Instead You invite me to approach the throne of grace and have audience with the King of kings and Lord of lords, both in seasons of rejoicing and in times of need. Thank You, Almighty One who exists from eternity to eternity. It is through Jesus that we approach You in prayer. Amen. Heavenly Father, as I read and study the Bible, I can identify with the Israelites who surely had concerns and fears regarding their future as they journeyed into uncharted territory. We can be so comfortable with the familiar and can easily worry about the unknown. But we find peace and refuge in You, our eternal God, when we experience the unfamiliar as we learn to trust You for all that concerns us. It is in Your everlasting arms that we find a place of reassurance, comfort, peace and rest. Your arms never grow weary nor do they turn us away as we come to You for strength and support. Praise the Lord! I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, knowing that Jesus is the Prince of Peace I pray for His peace to fall upon many hearts in our land. We pray that they will turn to You today and accept the peaceful reconciliation You freely offer, for it is the first step to all other types of peace. We pray for relational peace among our countries, families, and churches. We pray for inward peace that comes from confidence in Your eternal plan, especially for our brothers and sisters displaced and greatly impacted by the brutality in war torn countries. It’s an overcoming type of peace that will steady us until the whole world will be at rest and in peace. But until that hour we serve You faithfully as we seek to be peacemakers for our own spiritual well-being and for Your glorious kingdom. It is in the name of Jesus we come to You, believing in faith. Amen. Heavenly Father, just as the angels came for the purpose of praising to You at the arrival of Your Son on earth, we too want to unite our voices to declare Your goodness in sending Jesus to live among us, to provide a way for us to find salvation and thereby inherit Your peaceable kingdom; for now, it is within our hearts but it will someday be experienced in heaven for all eternity. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen |
