Father, we’re grateful for the many Christian believers who volunteer their service for the kingdom of God. I am noticing it more and more as I teach in the Paltalk rooms where there are more and more that are stepping up to the plate to get involved whether it be praying, posting scriptures, singing, or using other gifts that You have blessed them with. It is often difficult to get enough hours in a day to fulfill our tasks and still have time for Christian service, but we know there is reward in doing so and lives are blessed because of it. For those who are near retirement or those no longer vocationally employed we pray that You would lead them into Christian service that will build up the body of Christ while also fulfilling their calling to “work till Jesus comes when we’ll be gathered home”. In the precious name of Yeshua I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, as we walk in the path of righteousness we also walk in light. The world is full of darkness engulfed by the enemy’s presence but we, by faith, keep our sight fixed on You the invisible One. We persevere and overcome as we look ahead to our eternal reward. There truly is a light at the end of this world’s tunnel when the Son of God takes us by the hand and leads us to the Promised Land. What a grand and glorious day that will be! But until then we keep our eyes on You who shines ever brighter in a sin-sick world that is growing ever darker. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we count our lives on earth as nothing compared to the glory of heaven where we will worship You for all eternity. Among us will be John the Baptist who will tell us of the way He was used to prepare the way for Christ’s mission on earth. We’ll listen with keen interest as Elizabeth tells of how the disgrace she felt among family and peers due to her barren state was lifted after learning of her miraculous pregnancy. Zechariah will speak of his amazing nine month silence before baby John arrived. Heaven will be filled with people through all the centuries who have amazing stories to share. We will be in personal fellowship with each of them; no longer will the time line separate us nor the geographic location. What a glorious day it will be when we come together around Your throne singing Your praise with every generation blending their voices together. We give glory to the Holy One of Israel right now and for all eternity and in His name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we think of the people in our lives that refresh us at the very sight of them or at the mention of their names. They have poured into our lives fruitful blessings by their kind actions and words, by their exemplary lifestyle and so often by their personal overcomings of life’s hardships. May we be not only recipients of such tender mercies, but diligent dispensers of lovingkindness toward others. May our actions and words refresh them. Not that it should be our major motivation, but we know that when we refresh others, we ourselves are refreshed. So as we bless others, we too are blessed and we honor You as well. In the name of Yeshua we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, we make it our ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind our own business and to work with our hands, just as Scripture tells us. In doing so we provide for our families and tenderly hold them protecting them from harm’s way. We seek not only to win our family’s respect but also respect from outsiders who observe our Christian conduct. May the things we do with our hands and the ways we show love in our actions truly honor You and be a witness to others in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, scripture informs us that we are in a wrestling match, not the blood and flesh kind but a spiritual wrestling match where our opponent is determined to capture and destroy our soul and our very lives, if possible. The apostle Paul writes that our opponents are wicked spirits in high places working in conjunction with the rulers of this world’s darkness. Though Jesus came as a light to those walking in darkness so many have chosen the darkness over the light. My spirit asks, why do people choose darkness over light? Because the powerful king of evil, Satan himself, is behind all human weakness and wrongdoing. The nations rage and peace is unachievable within our own hearts when we turn away from the light of the gospel and look to the world’s empty way of life-destroying answers for that which ails our sin sick soul. It’s no wonder the nations rage and are out to destroy one another, for when we are not at peace with the King of kings and Lord of lords we are not at peace with each another. We are desperately in need of a worldwide revival where people surrender their hearts to You, Almighty God, where they turn away from the ravaging darkness of sin and turn to the eternal brightness of life through Jesus, Your resurrected Son. It’s our only hope for peace in this life and for all eternity. Amen. Heavenly Father, we praise You from whom all blessings flow. Your blessings are abundant and continuous. When tempted by the things of this world may we recall your blessings and also remember the most certain consequences of sin. Help us to give You praise continually, for every good gift comes from above. For the gifts of family, friends, food, health, material provisions, and above all the gift of salvation we give You heartfelt thanks. We pray in the name of Yeshua. Amen. Heavenly Father, it is often a challenge to focus our attention on the Throne of Grace when we are surrounded by earthly thrones and man-made solutions for those things that trouble us. But You want us to look to You in time of need and fully believe that You will supply our need right on time and in proportion to that which is best for us. We cannot stockpile grace so we eagerly approach Your throne with confidence, knowing that we will receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. We thank You Yeshua and in Your name we ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, I stand in agreement with Apostle Paul when he said “I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen”. Heavenly Father, we solemnly consider the catastrophic impact that demonic Muslim terrorists have permanently etched in our painful memories from the horrific events of 9/11/01. Though we witnessed mayhem and saw evil at its worst, mercifully, we also witnessed acts of goodness at their best. We are not without hope, for we know that You are a God of hope that fills believers with all joy and peace as they trust in You, so that they may overflow with hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Help us to spread the overflowing, enduring hope that does not diminish in the midst of evil, but focuses our hearts on the holy city, the New Jerusalem; the New Jerusalem where Your presence is with Your people; where You will wipe away every tear from our eyes and there will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain, because all the old ways are gone, for You will make all things new. Come, Lord Jesus, come. Amen. |
