Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me in scriptures about giving. Lord, I think back when I first was saved and You taught me through scriptures to be a giver. From the beginning You showed as my wife and I gave, we were given back. You have always provided and this is what I teach others. You are the Giver of all good things. You have given us so much and we are indeed grateful. Move upon our hearts to be generous with our resources. When we’re tempted to look at others possessions in comparison to our own, bring to our mind those who have less rather than those who have more. This will help us to be more prayerful and generous toward those who are without. It will also help us to be less whining and more content with what we have. Thank You Lord and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, as I walk this earth, doing the things You have called me to do, I know there is a great prize at the end. I chose not to live like the world, but to be led by You, carrying out Your great plan for the Kingdom. Yes I may be mocked. Yes I may be persecuted, but with great anticipation, I look forward to the crowning day when I will be among Your faithful followers! I am so eager to join brothers and sisters of every nation where we will at last speak one language, the language of heaven. With one voice we will exalt the Lamb of God who sits upon the throne proclaiming, Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Thank You Jesus and in Your name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for the bondage you have pulled me out of. I thank You there is gladness in our hearts when we express our praise to You. Lord God, as we become disciples of Jesus we learn many things that we may need to change in our lives. When Jesus said, Follow Me" we see that they left all. They forsook all. Lord, we don’t want a complaining heart that dwells on that which one does not have, but we desire a thankful heart that appreciates all that has been given to us. We have continuous evidence of Your grace in every area of our life including that of our fellow brothers and sisters who have forsaken the world and surrendered their all to You. May we be eager to reveal Your grace to others as You continue the lifelong work of replacing our old nature by transforming it into the likeness of Your Son, Jesus Christ. May we be found faithful with steadfast purpose all the days of our life. Amen Heavenly Father, I glorify Your name. Lord, I thank You for for revealing to me Your truths and putting in me, a heart of compassion for other people. Lord, the compassion to share Your truths that will change peoples lives, if... they take those truths and act upon them. If they become doers and not just listeners. Jesus, we proclaim You to be the King of Kings and Lord of lords. Help us to boldly declare this glorious message, not only in a setting where we find receptive listeners, but also to a hostile world that is building its perishable kingdom here on earth. May we be full of conviction and infused with Your power as we courageously tell others “There is another King, one called Jesus.” You’ve called us to be light in a world full of darkness. You’ve also enjoined us to be peacemakers. Sometimes when we take a stand for righteousness it does not bring peaceful resolution, but instead further conflict arises. Then we go through a surge of emotions and doubts begin to arise regarding our stand. Would You help us to be diligent in our study, prayerful about our stand, and immersed in Your Holy Word. May we not stand in our own strength or be led by aimless ambition. Lord, as we take a position against the evil tide of our land help us to be unapologetic in our stand, consistent in our Christian walk, and loving in our approach. May we, by example and word, say to the fallen world that we serve not the god of this age, but we serve a King who is ageless and eternal. In Your strength alone we stand. Amen. Heavenly Father, it is very clear that from the beginning of time, You have given man free choice. Even with us now, we can accept Jesus or deny Him. We can obey Him, or be rebellious. With Adam, You told what would happen if he partook of the tree. Lord, one of my favorite passages is where faithful Joshua who issued this challenge to the Israelite's: “Choose this day whom you will serve.” He reminded them that their fathers, before crossing over the Red Sea, lived among those who worshiped heathen gods in Egypt just as they now lived among the Amorites who worshiped heathen gods. This passage serves as an example to those of us currently experiencing the results of a pluralistic society where God our Creator is being viewed as just one of the gods we might be devoted to. But we hold steady to the words of Scripture, “that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no other.” Like the followers in Scripture, “We want our hearts therefore to be wholly true to the Lord our God, walking in His statutes and keeping His commandments.” If it requires that we lay down our life for You, may we do so willingly, knowing that full obedience to You on this side brings great reward in the eternal dwelling that follows. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your perfect plan to bring us back to You. Lord as heirs of Your salvation, we have been purchased with the sacrificial blood of Your precious Son, Jesus. He gave His all that we might be saved from the eternal consequences of sin and have our names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. We have the blessed assurance that we are redeemed from sin and saved for eternity in heaven. Thank You for such wondrous love and abundant provision on our behalf. In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, I think back from my childhood and I can see where You have placed authority figures in our lives from birth to our final days on earth. Some bless us greatly while others challenge us fiercely. In areas where You have given us the privilege of being an authority figure may we be responsible role models, for we know it is not just the talk that people hear, but the walk that people see. As we are called to submit to our family, spiritual leaders, employer, and governmental leaders may we do so with cheerfulness so that we are a blessing rather than a grievous burden. But when those to whom we submit conflict with our supreme authority we pray for conviction and courage to stand for righteousness in obedience to Your commands, for we must obey God rather than men. One of my favorite verses that I have really been trying to bring to peoples attention so they live according to it, is found in the Gospel of John: "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth Me not keepeth not My sayings: and the word which ye hear is not Mine, but the Father's which sent me." Lord, We pray for the fortitude to carry this out in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen. Heavenly Father, I come to You with a thankful heart. I also come to You with heaviness as so many are just going through the motions. They hear the Word of God, but the good fruit is not seen. Lord, Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I have hidden Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against You. Direct me in the path of Your commands, for there I find delight. Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to Your Word. Let me live that I may praise You and may Your laws sustain me. My heart is set on keeping Your decrees to the very end.Lord Jesus, I pray this in Your precious name Amen. Heavenly Father, what a glorious day it will be when are called home. You were King of the heavens before there was time and You will be King for all eternity. What joy and assurance that truth brings to our spirits today in light of the increasing evil of our day. Our temporal burdens are lightened when we transport our hearts to the New Jerusalem where there is no temple in the City because You, Lord God Almighty are the City’s temple. The City won’t need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because Your glory is its light, and the Lamb is the City’s lamp. Nothing unclean and no one who does shameful things or tells lies will ever go into it. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life will enter the City. We want to walk earnestly with you on this earth and snatch the unredeemed from the flames of hell and eternal separation from You, Father. Keep us fervent in our witness and faithful in our service. In the blessed name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your so worthy to be praised. Lord, search my heart and show me the things that need to be changed. Create a clean heart in me, O God, and renew a faithful spirit within me. Lord, we’re grateful for those throughout history who chose to be men and women of faith, whose hearts were fashioned in Your image, for those who served Your purpose in their generation. We also want to serve Your purpose in our generation. Help us to remain steadfast and strong as we press on in this race set before us. Thankfully, in this race, we’re not in competition to be the only prizewinner. Instead we take hold of the hands of those who run with us and invite those on the sidelines to join us. We want to cross the finish line together so that we will all receive the grand prize of life eternal with You. May we never give up! Amen. |
