Heavenly Father, as I read about Moses I learn a great deal from his act of obedience. Not only did his choice to experience mistreatment along with Your people provide an exodus for the Israelites, but it also provided a Biblical foundation for our lives throughout the centuries to our present day. We’ve gained so much from the spiritual truths taught through Moses’ applied wisdom, his discipline, and his obedience in recording Your truths and principles. Help us not to partake of the forbidden fruit that litters the path of life You have laid before us, as You keep our eyes on the eternal pleasures that await us as we walk in obedience to You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Lord, I as well thank You for the life of Moses. Prior to calling Him for Your service he was a shy, timid, and what appears to be fearful as he was appeared to be afraid to do what You asked of him from the Burning Bush. Lord, You saw this in him and in Your grace and mercy, You sent his brother Aaron with him to speak. Lord as we continue to read about Moses, we also see how You blessed him with courage, boldness, and a tenacity to do Your will. Although, Moses would mess up from time-to-time, You were always faithful to Your promise that You would never leave him nor forsake him. Lord, I am encouraged by the life of Moses as he just like all the individuals You chose to represent You as examples for those who would follow You, that we all fail from time-to-time, we all mess up, but, You Lord God are always there ready to forgive us and gladly bring us back to You with arms wide open. You do indeed discipline us as a true loving Father does. If You did not, You would not love us. Lord, I thank You for everything You have taught me and us through the lives of the Hero's of our faith. Lord, may I ever be mindful to always be obedient to You and Your Word, and when/if I miss it, may I be quick to come to You with a true heart of repentance. For it is with a true heart of repentance that real lasting change comes in our lives. I ask all of this and more, in Jesus name, amen. And so let it be.
