Is Jesus the real deal? What about the Pastor or teacher you have been learning the Bible from?7/6/2014 Good morning friends. This week I am going to bring back a message I did a couple years ago. Leanna and I have had the privilege to meet many pastors and assistant pastors and heard great Godly messages in the past few years. Friends, we have witnessed great things happen, but I still feel as I have from March 4th 2012 that I am led to teach on How Christ wants us to live. I believe He wants me to teach on heart issues and not on healing, or the prosperity message. I do believe it is God's will for us to be healed and that He does want us to prosper, but I think for these things to happen, we need a heart that is after God's will. Amen?
I hope that most of you, all of you trust in the words I have been teaching. Many hours go into preparing these messages and I try to let the scriptures speak for themselves. I have also mentioned before that I urge each of you hearing this message and those who read this on the numerous sites that I share on to hold me accountable for the truth spoken. Amen? There are so many false teachers in the world now as we have been forewarned from what the Bible says. Let's look at some. Words from the messiah: Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Mat_24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Mat_24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Mar_13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. We all agree that the Bible is the truth, yes? All of God’s Word was inspired from the Holy Ghost, yes? God is the same yesterday, today and forever? He is no respecter of persons? I ask this because I want to be sure we are all on the same page. Let's look to see what Apostle Paul said about false teachers and preachers. 2Co_11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 2Co_11:26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils bymine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; Let's look at the last part of this verse. What Paul is saying is this: in perils among false brethren; People who pretended to be Christians, teaching the necessity of observing circumcision, and other ceremonies of the law, in order for salvation. These, as the apostle always warmly opposed, so they were sworn enemies to him, and ever sought to do him what mischief they could. Gal_2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: 2Pe_2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 1Jn_4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Let's look what the book of Revelation says: Rev_16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. Rev_19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. Rev_20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Why am I bringing this up? Church, I bring these verses up because there are many false preachers and prophets out there right now. For this reason, I have asked you to be very careful of who you listen to. Who you watch on TV and online who claim to be teaching the Word of God. It is the very reason I have asked you to turn in your Bibles week after week to make sure I am not preaching a false teaching. When I ask you to be in your Bible daily it isn’t because I want you to read. It isn’t because I am trying to be bossy. It is because Leanna and I love you and we want everyone to be able to know when they are being taught falsely and you accomplish that by getting into the Bible every day. Amen? It is the very reason I use a lot of scripture. And many times those scriptures are broken down so that we all know without a reasonable doubt what they are saying. It is why I ask everyone to pray before getting into God’s Word for understanding. I also ask that you meditate on the verses you read. Most times, I do the meditating for you when I prepare these messages. How do we gain our faith in Jesus? How do we do that? Friends, when we came to repentance when we were saved, born again, it isn’t just for that day. We need to repent daily. It should be an everyday thing that each of us do. Colossians 3:5 KJV Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: Paul is talking about dying to self in this verse. Our bodies have many parts. Colossians 3:17 KJV And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Romans 10:1-21 KJV Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. (2) For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. (3) For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. (4) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (5) For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. (6) But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) (7) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) (8) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; (9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (14) How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? (15) And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (16) But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? (17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (18) But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. (19) But I say, Did notIsrael know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you. (20) But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. (21) But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people. Friends, who does God wish not to go to Heaven? Hosea 4:6 KJV My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. John 3:16-18 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life 18 KJV For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Mat 18:11-14 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. Who? Was that you and me? :12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? Have we not gone astray? 13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Listen church, Jesus is referring to you and I at one time in your life. Maybe it is you right now. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. Friends these are the words of Jesus, not mine. (9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (10) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (11) Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, (12) Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (14) Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. Friends, that day of Jesus' return is right here. I am telling you, prophecy is being fulfilled like never before. If you have not made that commitment, I urge you to do it today. Today is the day of salvation, God’s Word says. Like I have said many, many times, we have never been promised tomorrow. Don’t think you are invisible. Some of you, like me, might have had near death experiences. If you hadn’t made that choice to follow Jesus and whatever caused you to almost die ended up happening, where would you have spent eternity? In hell, and the Bible is very clear. The Bible is very clear that we need to confess with our mouths that we are sinners and that we must confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. What if something happened this afternoon and you became brain dead, or couldn’t speak? That would be a tragedy. John 14:6 KJV Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. That verse tells me that there is only one way to Heaven. Good works cannot save you. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Friends, I don’t know your hearts. I do know we serve an awesome God. Trust Jesus Christ today. You may be listening today and made a commitment sometime years ago to pick up your cross and follow Jesus, then fell into temptation. Don’t feel alone. Many of us have, me included. You may have fallen on this message and never have made that commitment. I don’t know your heart. If the Holy Spirit is convicting you heart, Here’s what you must do. Admit you are a sinner. We all have been there. Romans 3:23 KJV For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 5:12 KJV Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 1 John 1:8-10 KJV If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. Be willing to turn from sin (repent). Luke 13:5 KJV I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Acts 17:30 KJV And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: My friends, Jesus is ready, willing and able to do this for you and for me. You must believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior. Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. If anyone here today has never asked Jesus into their heart and wants to pray the prayer of salvation, I would love to lead you through, but remember it needs to come from your heart. Today is the day. If you might have prayed like this once before and know you have fallen away from God, please, let's pray. Salvation prayer. If you might be reading this online, here is a sample prayer. For those here at our home or listening live on the Audible part of Skype, please bow your head and repeat this sample prayer with me. Heavenly Father, Thank You for loving me so much that You sent Jesus here to earth more than 2000 years ago to die for me. Lord I believe this in faith, because Your Word says so. Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner and I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. Lord, I ask You to live in me and be the Lord and Savior of my life. I surrender all of my life to You and ask that You guide me into Your perfect plan for my life. Thank You Jesus and in Your name I pray. Amen. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. If anyone made that choice today, congratulations, you are now a joint heir of Jesus. You are now a Kingdom child. I also would like to hear from anyone who made that decision, as I want to help you get started. Jesus loves each and every one of us, more than we will ever know. He died for you and me. I hope through this that we found out that Jesus is the real deal. His Word is true. The message in His Word is true. Amen? Prayer. Communion.
